Jamila & Orch's Panama Dining Room Wedding
The day started with the sweetest first look at the QT rooftop bar, followed by an absolutely gorgeous ceremony and romantic candle-lit reception at Panama Dining Room in Fitzroy, VIC. Panama Dining Room Wedding.
The First Look
You know you’re with the right person when you can finish each other’s sentences, or say exactly what the other person is thinking just before they’re about to say it. This is something Jamila & Orch shared from the start.
And speaking of meant to be, the night the stars aligned and Jamila & Orch met for the first time, Orch revealed that his late grandmother’s name was Çemile, which is the Turkish version of the name Jamila. Yep, here come the goosebumps again.
The Rooftop at the QT was the perfect setting for their first look. Surrounded only by their parents and bridal party, they shared a sweet and emotional first look. There were not many dry eyes around. Orch was also relieved that Jamila's dress was not pink, which Jamila was telling him throughout the year.
The classy wardrobe
Having passed by the store many times as a young school girl, admiring the wedding gowns, Jamila found her dream gown in the Nahla by Mariana Hardwick. She loved the simple and sleek style, with a hint of sparkle. She also had a fingertip veil to keep her look modern and wore the Wifey organza bomber jacket for the grand exit. To complement her look she wore comfy, glitzy heels by Stuart Weitzman, Chanel pearl earrings and Ania Haie bracelet, which was a wedding gift from her parents.
Her bridesmaids wore sleek black slip dresses from Seed Heritage.
Orch wore the classic Saunders black suit, white shirt and black bow tie from M.J. Bale and the groomsmen wore black suits and white shirts from M.J. Bale, with burgundy accessories, ties from T.M. Lewin and lapel pins from Jack London.
From The City Stroll To Panama
After the first look we went for a stroll around the city alleyways with important pit-stops at Brunetti and Pidapipo, were the bridal party patiently queued up for some chilled refreshments and delicious ice cream respectively.
Panama offered the perfect setting for Jamila & Orch’s ceremony and reception. Modern industrial feel with beautiful large arch windows. Delish food, wine and cocktails. Plenty of greenery for plant lovers like Orch, all taken to the next level by the stunning floral window installation by North St.
Fitzroy came to party with a gorgeous urban sunset. We made the most of it with some photos around the block as the sun was bathing it with warm sunlight.
The first dance
The first dance was unreal. After Jamila and Orch embraced for a slow romantic number, Jamila gave the signal to the DJ and the music dialled up. From various corners of the room Orch's break-dance crew took centre stage.
They carved the most serious shapes the Panama dance floor has ever seen. The crowd went absolutely wild as the crew entertained everyone with their spectacular break-dance moves.
That was just a beginning of a wild and unforgettable night filled with hugs, singing and dancing.
